One Month To Go

Time is simply flying by these days. I leave for my move to Phoenix in exactly 30 days from today. We moved the date up by one day because Ryan is done school earlier then we thought. We decided that during our journey that we would stop in a city along the way and check out their nightlife, and of course that would be where we would stop and stay for the night. We're not sure yet which city to stop in, but we've been researching a few places and have yet to pick out a city. We'll be traveling through the following cities:
  • Columbus, Ohio
  • Indianapolis, Indiana
  • St. Louis, Missouri
  • Springfield, Missouri
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • Amarillo, Texas
  • Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Flagstaff, Arizona
I'm pretty sure that we won't be stopping in Flagstaff since it's near our destination. I'm going to look up these towns on the Bar Book on Facebook. The Bar Book always gives a great listing including websites, phone numbers, comments from locals, and pictures, for all the locations. We'll see what we find and if anyone has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated! In other news, I finally went back to work after a 4 1/2 month long hiatus. It feels good to be back to work and making money. I have great co-workers and its pretty much a family at the club I work at. We had a new girl come in last night and she walked in like she owned the place, which is not the way it works here. Eventually everyone caught on to her cocky attitude and I was able to be the one who put her in her place. I didn't confront her, I didn't even say anything to her, I just did a specific action in which she did not expect from me. It was very empowering to say the least. One subject I always seem to bring up is the weather. The weather has been so dreary, damp, and just down right depressing over the last few weeks. We've seen sunshine maybe 4 days in the last 2 1/2 weeks, which for me, is clearly not enough. There's this disorder called SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder, in which people who suffer severely from it have to sit under sun lamps and other forms of treatment to alleviate the effects of the disorder. I'm pretty sure I don't have it, but maybe a slight case of it because the crappy weather truly brings me down in every way. I try to muddle through it but I seem to always get the most accomplished on the days in which the sun is shining brightly. I'm looking forward to the warmth and constant sunshine that Arizona is known for. Well, I have to get to class. Until next time :-)

let me give you some advice about the night life in these places, they are shit. ive done this drive 4 times and everytime i hate the middle of the country more and more. u just want to drive as fast as you can because its boring until you hit New Mexico, which is still boring but at least you see a cactus and a mountain.
