Memorial Day Weekend.

Yesterday marks two weeks that I've been living here in Arizona. It's definitely everything I've expected and more. I'm just very happy being here. Sometimes I take a step back and realize "wow, I drove my car across the country". It's the craziest thing. A lot of people have been telling me that I've given them some inspiration to further pursue their dreams that have become stagnant. I'm glad to hear I am inspiring others because for a while I was hearing more people saying how crazy I was or how jealous they were of me for doing something like this. I had hoped to be an inspiration to others who need that extra boost to pursue their dreams and I'm glad that I could take part in helping others pursue their dreams, even though its indirectly, it's still contributing someway, somehow. In other news, I've had Chad home from work [except Friday] all last week with strep throat. My mom told that when men get sick that they turn into big babies and she was 100% right. He's been to the doctors three times this week. However, he's only went to the doctors three times because instead of doing his/her job and taking the time to figure out what exactly was wrong with him, they just prescribe him more medication, which ultimately drains his wallet and lacks efficacy in healing him. He was taking one antibiotic which we thought he was allergic to after several days when his mouth basically broke out into hives [canker sores everywhere] then we realized he had Thrush, which is something babies typically get [and he had as a baby], and what it is basically a yeast infection. I know this kinda personal to be putting out there, but any mature adult knows that antibiotics can cause a yeast infection in men or women when not taken with a probiotic. So now he's finally being treated for the Thrush and for the strep throat, so hopefully he'll be back to normal soon. Unfortunately, he'll be traveling throughout Southern California over the next 3 weeks for work. He'll be home on the weekends, but I'm hoping he makes a speedy recovery now that he's been properly diagnosed. We went to a pool party over at our friend Rob's house yesterday afternoon. It was nice to get together with everyone and just hang out and lounge on this massive raft in the pool. I love living on the sun-belt, it's so nice to be able to go out on the balcony or by the pool to catch some sun versus paying to go to the tanning bed. Today we slept in and went to brunch with Nate & Fawn. Afterwards Nate & Fawn came back to our place to hang out. Fawn & I worked on our tans at the quiet pool while the boys played Forza and Call of Duty. Its so beautiful out today, crystal clear skies, about 84° with only 23% humidity. This week will be busier for me than last because I'll be getting a job somewhere and getting other things taken care of. I'm very pleased with my decision to move here for sure. I'm absolutely in love with the mountains! Their so breath taking. I love seeing them at various angles when I'm driving on the freeways. I never thought I'd refer to a highway as a freeway, but somehow I am picking up on the lingo down here. Well I'm gonna end this here, I've got some things to do :-) The picture included is the skyline of Phoenix, I love it!!
