Armin was amazing on Wednesday night. I liked the smallness of the venue. I was so close to him and I could feel his energy being put forth to the crowd. It was an awesome time for sure. One of the reasons why I like house music so much is that although many people take various drugs to enhance their experience with the music, you really don't have to take anything for the experience to be any better. All you have to simply do is close your eyes and just feel the music or watch visualizations, much like people who take ecstasy do. iTunes and Windows Media Player both have some pretty cool visualizations to watch if your into that stuff.
I'm very glad that I made this move to Arizona. Typically, people do not adjust well to change, and I am surely one of them. However, I look at change as a good thing. Some way, some how there is a always a positive in everything that is considered to be a "change" or anything that is more highly visible as a "change" -- such as moving, death, career change, getting sick, break ups, new relationships, transferring schools, etc. Every day that we awaken, a change has been made, a simple unnoticeable change towards the future. We don't look at all the underlying changes that which occur around us on a daily basis, we only focus on the surface changes, the ones that seem to cause the most intense emotions.
I feel as if moving here is going to be very beneficial to me on many levels beyond what most people see. Some people think I'm crazy for just moving across the country for love, but what they don't focus on or doubtfully take into consideration is that this move will be beneficial for beyond my love life. When you meet someone who can assist you bettering yourself on the grander scale of things, than moving across the country [a noticeable change] is only a minor detail. I'd like to be around positive people and a positive atmosphere, around an environment that supports the lifestyle I live, and this is surely the place to do it.
In other news, tomorrow will mark the one week mark since I've moved into Chad's apartment. I've basically turned the entire place around to suit the both of us and he's very pleased with all that I've accomplished. This week I'll take care of a job and get school situated. I'm going to end this entry here, but I included a picture I had taken of the South Mountain Sunset from the top of another mountain right here in Phoenix. When you live in a place like this and are able to see natural beauty such as the sunset over these mountains, you can't help by wonder what life is like somewhere else. Never in a million years did I expect to have the privilege of living amongst such natural beauty. Just remember that although change can be scary, the overall result of it can be far more amazing. :-)
