Hello Sunshine!
Last night St. Joe's won their game against Xavier University. I went into my job in Atlantic City to get back on the schedule with my girlfriend Lauren. Afterwards we stopped into work, we went to the Pier to do some window shopping and of course everything we saw we wanted, but we're both tight asses, so no money was spent. To finish off our Pier experience, we stopped into Game On and had a light dinner and caught up with some friends. Upon entering Game On, the two girls in front of us at the host stand had St. Joe's hoodies on and I'm like "oh I go there" and the one girl responds with "yeah, I was just at the game". I'm thinking what game is she talking about down in Atlantic City?
Well, since my previous college was a D-3 school with Lacrosse being their biggest sport followed by basketball, I immediately realized that she was talking about basketball. She followed up with saying that we were in the Atlantic 10 Championship right now. All of Game On was St. Joe's alumni and current students. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. The last time I was in Atlantic City to experience a college I had felt particularly close to was when Villanova was down for the Atlantic 10 Championship 3 years old and they took over Hooters when I was working there. It's very exciting to being apart a huge school now.
In other news, I'm leaving for Los Angeles in two days. I'm very excited to see my friend Hara and see what I didn't see the last time I was in California. I feel like my life is one big permanent spring break right now, but alas it will not be this way forever, so I've got to soak it up while I can. I'm also going to Phoenix as well during Easter weekend to hang out and see my friend Chad. It's just going to be a fantastic week and all of the counting down has definitely helped it arrive that much quicker.
Well, I will have to end this here. Unfortunately for me, I have class on Saturday mornings so I've got to head out the door and get on the road. Until next time ;-)
