Hot Hot Heat.
All is well here in Arizona including the 99° temperature, though I cannot really complain because the humidity is currently at 14%, while the temperature back home in Jersey is 94° which feels like 102° because the humidity is 49%. The heat is really not as bad as I thought it would be here but I have yet to experience one of the monsoon rain storms or the dust storms that happen any random moment. Yay for living in the southwest!
Last week was spent mostly relaxing while Chad was away in SoCal for work. Thankfully he is only there until Wednesday of this upcoming week and then doesn't have to go back until next month sometime. I start working at my new job tomorrow morning at 9am. I'm looking forward to getting back to work and working on a regular schedule and not working nights anymore. The only thing I hate about starting a new job is getting to know everyone and finding my "place" in an already established business. I'm sure everything will work out smoothly.
The weekend has been quite relaxing thus far. Chad & I went out to dinner last night with two other couples. Following dinner we had one of the couples over to hang out. Another couple we're friends with also came over not too longer after we returned from dinner. The guys just played Guitar Hero and Rock Band while the ladies just sipped on wine and talked about housewares haha.
Speaking of which, my mother bought us a really nice set of flatware. It's brushed stainless steal and very modern contemporary-ish. It's nothing crazy over the top but it's a really nice set which we were more than gracious to accept. She also bought us a toaster and some other household needs. She's all about sending me care packages now that I don't live close by. When I lived at school she never sent me care packages. I only lived an hour & 20 minutes away from home but time didn't always permit trips home.
Well lunch time is calling my name! Until next time...
