Down To The Wire.

Sorry for my lack in updating over the last several weeks. Between school, going back to work, and traveling to Arizona, I have been pretty busy. I move in exactly 13 days, which is nearly down to the wire. Time is flying by and as the days pass and May 8th gets closer and closer my excitement just increases more and more. It's wild how quickly time is flying by these days. Speaking of which, when I went out last night with my usual Thursday night crew (high school friends and a newbie from LA/Seattle) and we ran into some people from high school that we graduated with and it was just interesting to see how people have changed and what their doing with themselves. One guy was a barber now which is really awesome because cutting hair truly is a talent. Another one worked for a satellite company which was cool because its a secure job and it pays the bills. Two more of the guys are done college -- one is graduating in two weeks while the other graduated last May. It's been nearly 5 years since we put on those caps & gowns and sat in the blazing sun on that extremely hot June day at graduation and my God where has the time went?! We're grown ups now! I didn't think the day would ever come where I would be moving out of my parents house and at that to Arizona of all places -- but the day has come and a lot sooner than I expected. Chad & I are very excited about me moving there. We've got a lot of things taken care of such as our roles and who's going to be taking care of what (cooking, cleaning, garbage, paying bills, laundry, etc) and of course most things are more specific to gender, but many tasks will be shared. I told him I don't mind doing laundry, but I don't like to fold and that he can do it. He says "so we won't fold" and I said "oh but we will fold for sure, we'll fold together" haha. He is a very understanding person (but not easily manipulated) which is very beneficial. It's also in his nature to be a home-family oriented person and to have balance (typical of Libra's as well) because he is a Cancer so all roles shall be equal for the most part. He doesn't have a REAL vacuum and I want a Dyson REALLY bad haha, so we're asking our Moms to chip in to purchase one for us since their priced at about $4-500. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! (Boy, I never thought I'd be so ecstatic over a vacuum!) In other news, I am putting together a portfolio (finally) of all of my artwork -- including my 9x12, 8 1/2x11, pastels, and photography. I like to do artwork because it's a nice way to relax and express emotion other than through words. The portfolio isn't for a job or anything, but just to have everything collectively together, to reflect upon, and of course to add on to. The semester is finally coming to an end, I have three papers to turn in and one massive final to take and I'm done. I cannot wait! I've got a lot of things on my plate over the next 13 days including packing, getting my car fixed on May 5th, working, school work, and seeing everyone before I leave. I cannot believe that I'm moving to Arizona! It's such a positive place from my understand and little experience being there; and everyone knows that there's nothing wrong with positivity. The whole lifestyle is dramatically different out there. People are friendlier and more willing to do things for each other and be respectful towards one another. I'm looking forward to all the changes that will occur during this transition :-) The picture I've included in this entry is one that I had taken in January of a friends bass guitar and I'm very fond of the picture so I wanted to share it with you all. And of course, it's about that time, I've got a bunch of things to do before work, so until next time :-D

I have to say -- I'm extremely jealous of your spontaneity -- I've never been to AZ, but I've heard its gorgeous. Props to you for actually doing everything everyone wishes they could or only ever talks about doing.

Thank you I do appreciate your kinds words. Arizona is absolutely amazing. All you see are mountains and beautiful desert scenery. It's layed out very well too -- meaning its rather easy to navigate around. Anyway, thank you again for your comment. People just have to stop being afraid is all -- take chances and live life the fullest because you only get once chance at life :-)
